The followings are some kind of mud agitators with gear transmission structure. Their main advantages are high transmission efficiency and disadvantages are large volume and inconvenient repair.
Gear transmission is divided into direct drive and belt drive. The advantage of bevel gear mud agitator is simple structure, but its disadvantages are more. For example, since the limitation of transmission ratio, in order to get low speed drilling fluid mud agitator, it must be through a belt pulley for a larger reduction, not only it is low efficiency, but also large volume. Mud agitators with this structure are rare.
Cycloid gear transmission device used in chemical industry has been rarely used in drilling liquid mud agitator, in addition to its poor reliability, the whole device is too high, easy damaged in the process of moving, so it have been rarely used. The most often used is still worm drive.
Worm gear transmission structure has the advantages of simple structure, large transmission ratio, high reliability which is most widely used in mud agitators. Drilling fluid mud agitators imported from America are almost all worm drive. Although worm gear belt transmission structure has large volume, but its characteristic of soft drive is good to protect the motor from overload, so more and more domestic users choose this kind of mud agitators.
